![]() ![]() Can kinda do this in Pocket Casts but need to file share into a file app (Readdle Documents) and then use the Share Sheet to share to Pocket Casts a file at a time. Trying iCatcher for the next few days as they have a feature I need: iTunes file-sharing to side-load from my podcast archive. Been using it for quite a while now and really like it. I use it on Mac to retrieve and archive podcasts for future listening but don’t think I could use it as a daily driver. For example, playlists are too basic to be of much use for those that want to fine tune their listening experiences. It is basic and that’s part of the problem for many imo. Some of the highlights are: Trim silence Variable speed (between. It has a great UI, light and dark themes, useful search and filtering options, and a lot more. That out of way, yes, Apple Podcasts is terrible but might be what you’re looking for. Pocket Casts is an awesome app for people who listen to a lot of different podcasts. I would REALLY prefer if Pocket Casts opens up to google assistant though. BUT, google assistant is pretty incapable with Pocket Casts, so Im considering switching to either google podcasts or spotify. Ultimate in simple is download from the web and put episodes into Files or any other file app that can play audio (eg. Ive been using Pocket Casts for years now, but I recently got a couple of google speaker, and a pair of pixel buds a-series. I dont mean an up next type functionality but a proper playlist set up much like creating playlists on Spotify. I use Pocket Casts for listening but it struck me that a player with the ability to create playlists would be helpful. Recs are all kinda similar to OP’s Overcast. Seems like the right place to ask this question but apologies if not. However, the recommendations given, seem to contradict the ask of “very simple UI”. Might help explain how you want podcasts to be organized. Using the Synching and Backup feature, you can easily synchronize subscriptions, podcasts, and playlists between your Android devices. ![]()
